Restorative, Mindful Movement and Relaxation:

Evening Class

BLOCK 2 - Improvers/Intermediate

Tuesdays, 7.30-8.45pm, from 5th June

Gorse Covert Community Centre, Loughborough, LE11 4RZ

This class is for participants with some experience of Somatics, whether in a workshop, class, private sessions or video/audio.

I will not only be a reminder of technique, but an opportunity to play and take your learning further.

An opportunity to get creative and have fun with your practice!

 

This class is to help you:

- Ease tension.

- Move better.

- Get relaxed.

- Increase a feeling of well-being.

- Do the activities you love in comfort.

- Take away strategies you can use by yourself.

You will learn new skills to help you:

-'Listen' to your body

- Enjoy movement

- Move in a more co-ordinated way

- Explore movement options

- Reduce bodily tension

- Breathe more deeply without strain

- Calm the mind

- Relax your muscles

- Create greater comfort and a sense of spaciousness in your body

- Increase mobility and freedom of movement

- Move parts of you that you didn't realsie were not moving

- Deal with tension, discomfort, a racing mind and stress by yourself in the long term

 

The course of classes will draw upon neuroscience-based mind-body practices:

⚫Somatics (Tradition of Thomas Hanna) ⚫Mindfulness Skills ⚫Breath ⚫Yoga ⚫Autogenic Relaxation

 

INVESTMENT

Block 2, 6 sessions: £51 (5th June -10th July)


This will be bookings only class with advance payment - no drop-ins or paying on the door.

If you are unable to make all sessions in the block, as long as you are able to attend at least 3 sessions, you can pay for 3/4/5 classes at £9.50 per class *£9 per class early bird*. Bookings and payments to be made in advance.

Mindful Movement Mondays and Somatics Summer Social: Morning Class

A lovely way to start your week!

Bookings and payments to be made in advance.

The format is the same as last year - a typical Somatics class, but we have an extra 15 minutes to explore related breath, relaxation and mindfulness skills that enhance our main class.
